About the Role
We are seeking a skilled SDET with hands-on expertise in Playwright and TypeScript to design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a passion for test automation, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript.
- Write, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team members in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Perform end-to-end, regression, smoke, and functional testing.
- Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar).
- Debug test failures, analyze root causes, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
- Ensure test coverage for critical business workflows.
- Document test cases, execution results, and provide reports for stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in Test Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for web automation.
- Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Experience with Node.js ecosystem and package managers (npm/yarn).
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Good knowledge of version control systems (Git).
- Strong debugging and analytical skills.
